Won $10k Yesterday on a $30 scratcher. Just submitted a claim form at my nearest CALottery office. Am I taxed the 24% Federal on the check I will receive? Or will I file and pay during tax season?

+22 @neivns they will deduct 24% from $10,000 and remaining amount will be the check to you. You will then get the 1099G end of the year and you can file tax in 2025. Lucky if you can get some tax $$ money.
