+11 @Specific-Promotion85 A lot of people just like to try their luck. It's not about the game, tension, or scratching - they just want to see if they would win something or not. Several people also don't want to 'waste time' scratching. If you look at the trash cans of liquor stores and places where people would scratch, you'd notice a lot of unscratched scratchers and even scratchers with barcodes that the buyer doesn't scan for second chance drawings. Also, this is just my personal experience, but I like buying the scratchers that cost more too. They usually give me a lot of money or help me break even. I don't usually go for scratchers that are less than $20.
