What Would You do if You WON?

+40 Do you guys think mega millions made a smart choice by changing the cost of their ticket?

I can tell you personally that I stopped buying mega millions on the regular for it and went back to Powerball. How many of you did the same?

I felt it was so ridiculous to bring it up to 5 a ticket. and let's be honest, lottery tickets are a waste. But they bring hope, that's why I buy lottery tickets. I'm not throwing away 5 bucks a ticket for hope that I damn well know I won't win though.

I used to enjoy mega because it was only Tues and Fri, at 2 a ticket. 4 bucks a week for a dream and some hope. That was cheap. Now 5 though?!?

that's too much. am I the only one?

+37 @AZBaldy I stopped playing. The jackpot can reach $5 billion for all I care. I’m done with it.

+25 @mbd34 It's still almost impossible odds to win anything big, but $5 a play? No good reason to play that ticket instead of something else. They were fools to raise the price.

+12 @appreciatemyasset I stopped buying. Now I buy a $5 share of stock 2x a week. I’m making my own luck.

+11 @micawberesque I only do Powerball, once per week. They're doing a similar thing with Lucky for Life: raising the price to $5, and changing the name to Millionaire for Life (one million a year for life).
