I don’t really play scratchers, maybe a couple times a year at most. But I decided to press my luck and bought my first ever $20 ticket. Scratched it and won $40. I thought, “Why the hell not? Go big or go home.” It was all for fun anyway.

So I cashed in the $40 for two more tickets and hit $60. Cashed those in, won $20. Cashed that in and won $40. Cashed that one in and won $80. Then cashed the $80 for four more tickets and won $120. Cashed that in for six more ticket and ended up with a $1,000 winner plus another $40.

All of it started with just one $20 ticket lol We decided to keep the $1,000, used the $40 to buy two more tickets, and those didn’t win. We didn’t want to push our luck too far, so we made a rule that we’d only buy more if the last two were winners.

All in all, we ended up buying around 20 something $20 tickets. It was such a crazy ride and we walked away $980 ahead before taxes!

I'm assuming those were some crazy odds to keep the game going like that from one ticket?
