+13 This is what I was told today, not sure how true it is….

Ok so I bought a couple scratch offs at my local gas station (Texas) and I guess I hit credit instead of debit and the clerk kinda freaked out on me. He said they could lose their license because I paid with a/as “credit” and if I won anything big where I would have to go into the actual lotto office I would not be given the winnings $ because they can tell how I purchased the ticket. He was so mad at me. So this is a word of advice ….. dont use credit.

+13 @meb_mmm Most states don’t allow the sale of lotto or scratch tickets with credit. I’m surprised it even let you do that. I remember a time where tickets had to be bought with cash, and even debit cards weren’t allowed.
