What Would You do if You WON?

+12 Checked which Powerball numbers have hit most since April — nothing surprising, but here's the list

Got curious and pulled the draw history since April 1 (66 draws) to see which numbers actually come up most often.

Top white balls: 64 (10 times), then 3, 59, and 65 (8 times each), then a tight cluster at 7 times each: 14, 16, 17, 30, 36, 38, 44, 48.

Powerball number: 3 leads with 6 hits, then 2 and 14 with 5 each.

Pretty evenly spread overall once you account for sample size. Sharing in case anyone finds it useful.

+11 @Appropriate_Formal64 I tried to do this a couple weeks ago. Really looked at the averages/frequencies, etc. etc. and came up with a looooong list of the most common or likely combinations of numbers. Then I did some more research on odds and chances etc and basically you are as likely or more likely to win if you just buy randomly generated quick picks than to use any set of numbers over and over again. Damn near no lottery number combos have come out more than once- and the rare exceptions happened in completely separate lotteries in different parts of the world. If you want to play certain combos because they 'feel' lucky or have special meaning to you and are within the range of numbers drawn, more power to you. But statistically speaking, even using the most common / frequent / average numbers gives you as much of an edge as a quick pick ticket will.
