I don't buy $1 scratchers cause bad odds and low value prizes.
I don't buy new scratchers when they first come out since they rarely win. I wait a week or two.
I don't buy old scratchers since they rarely win.
I stick to $5-$10 scratchers since I win often with them. Won $500 on $5 scratcher recently.
I never buy crosswords cause I never win and they are like doing homework or chore.

+15 @pettank ever since my last scratcher post my strategy has evolved to: 1) not buying scratchers 2) play blackjack losses are much less than before; still negative, but in the 4-figure range
+12 @pleasemilkmeFTL I don't like when ppl say there isn't a strategy. No official strategy but you can have one. My main one is, look at the odds before you buy. Focus on your fav place and look at where there were previous winners. Works for me. Granted haven't won anything past $500 but I frequently win $100
