In California at least, anything above $600 must be claimed through a lottery office, while anything below can be claimed at a lottery retailer. I get it, the minimum payout is certainly more optimal than the alternative of it being a loser but still frustrating. Nothing but little ones lately. Don't think I've had a claimer all year.
