What Would You do if You WON?
By Feisty-Emotion3854+53 Anyone ever actually win $1 million on a lottery ticket?
This is my first Reddit post so please be kind (I’m certain someone already asked). Always wondered what it is like to win that kind of money. Did you feel the “lottery curse” after? Did you tell anyone? Would love to hear how it actually played out.

+37 @dplans455 I've hit $20k 3 times. For context I probably spend about $500 a month on lottery tickets. One of the shops I used to buy at had a guy that was religiously there every day from 8am to about 4pm. He showed me a picture of his $1 million dollar winner on a $5 ticket from about ten years ago. In MA $1 million winner is really $650k and then after taxes about $450k net. This guy bought a nice truck then pissed the rest of the winnings away into more tickets.

+18 @IndustrySufficient52 My husband’s supervisor won $2 mil last year on a scratch off ticket.
+15 @JDarkspanner Don’t know anyone personally but have heard and read stories about how it’s one of the worst prizes to win because of how fast the money goes and people making stupid decisions. It’s not big enough to retire for most people but also not small enough to just let it all sit around in a savings account.
+15 @obscuredsilence I know 1 person. They chose annuity and are spending it wisely. It was a $20 scratcher.
