I've always been curious...you know how stores often have a sign up saying how much their customers have won that week? Well, if I buy my ticket at a gas station and I cash it out at the grocery store, who gets the credit? Does the gas station somehow have a record of the winners it has sold? (Especially when it comes to scratchers, which I think would be harder to account for.) Or are stores just reporting what they've paid out?
